David Kalt on CNBC's Street Signs - Alternative Investing - Investing in Guitars

Friday, Oct. 26th our Chief Guitar Officer David Kalt was interviewed by CNBC's Street Signs as a part of their series on alternative investing. David and Alex from 100 Riffs jammed some riffs for the lead in to the segment and then the CNBC crew discussed alternative investing/guitar investing with David. When asked about the most important things to consider when investing in a vintage guitar, David answered, "When investing in vintage guitars, look for reputable dealers because there are issues with counterfeit items". Regarding care and upkeep of your new guitar investment, he said, "Store your guitar properly, lack of humidity can cause damage". "Get insurance on your guitar," he adds.

David goes on to explain what makes a 1960 Gibson Les Paul the "holy grail of guitars" and the importance of the Fender Stratocaster.
