Delay Pedals

Delay pedals are a guitar effect that records an input signal and then plays it back after a period of time. Delay pedals are often used to create a repeating echo sound. Most digital delay pedals give a variety of controls over the time before playback, levels, and more. Early on, tape echoes were used to create a delay, simulating natural echo; the first digital delay pedal was the Boss DD-2, released in 1984. A few popular delay pedals are the Electro-Harmonix Memory Man, the MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay, the Moog Moogerfooger Analog Delay and the TC Electronics Flashback Delay.
