Hofner is a German manufacturer of musical instruments featuring electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and basses as well as other stringed instruments such as ukuleles and violins. Established in 1887, Hofner has remained one of the leading makers of stringed instruments. Hofner instruments are easily recognized by their unique shapes. A large amount of Hofner's popularity is associated with Paul McCartney's use of the Hofner 500/1 bass throughout his career. Known for their playability and personality, musicians all over are excited to own Hofner gear.
Hofner also offers a compact travel guitar – called the Shorty – which is great for the musician who can't leave home without a guitar. Dating back to the 1980s, Hofner's Shorty offers full scale length combined with small overall dimensions so the guitar can be taken wherever you desire.
