Chicago Music Exchange provides the best value for your dollar. All orders placed on chicagomusicexchange.com ship FREE.* No minimum purchase required!

The Lower 48. We offer free shipping to the contiguous 48 United States only.

No Minimum to Qualify. No matter how large or small the item – you qualify for free shipping.

Most orders ship the same day. We strive to ship all orders out same-day, however we guarantee it will ship within 1 business day.

Online orders only. In order to qualify for FREE shipping, orders must be placed directly on chicagomusicexchange.com.

Manufacturer Exclusions. Certain products are excluded due to manufacturer restrictions. This includes Fulltone Custom Shop.

Order doesn't qualify? If you order doesn't qualify or you require expedited shipping, we provide excellent shipping rates. Once you provide Zip Code in the shopping cart, we'll present you with options and rates.

Size and Weight Restrictions. Certain products are excluded from free shipping due to size and weight restrictions. This includes selected products from Divided By 13 and Emperor guitar and bass cabinets.

Returns. If you choose to return your order, we will deduct the cost of shipping from any refund. See our complete return policy.

Items eligible for FREE shipping: Every order will ship free via UPS Ground or USPS Priority or First Class mail. Exceptions include addresses outside the contiguous 48 United States, and items that are restricted from free shipping by the manufacturer. See our Free Shipping page for details.

We Can Ship to Virtually Anywhere in the World: Chicago Music Exchange ships most orders with UPS, so you have peace of mind your order will arrive on time and in the same condition as when it left our store. At checkout we give you multiple UPS service options, each with an additional fee based on the weight and dimensions of the package. Before you complete your purchase you can calculate the exact cost for each option. All orders with expedited shipping options selected that are completed after 3:00 PM CST will be processed and shipped the following business day. If the item is eligible for free shipping, and you choose that option, the order will automatically ship with either UPS Ground or USPS (First Class or Priority Mail) depending on size and weight.

International shipping: Shipping quotes and prices do not include VAT or other import taxes which vary from country to country. Buyer is responsible for all import taxes and duty. Click here for International Shipping Rates.

Manufacturer's Restrictions: Note that certain manufacturers put shipping restrictions on some products, including some products that cannot be shipped to international destinations.

Tracking & Delivery Confirmation: After your purchase is completed, and as soon as the order is shipped, an email with a UPS tracking number or USPS delivery confirmation number will be sent to you to track the status of your shipment.

Delivery Time: Our standard shipping services, UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail, deliver anywhere in the contiguous 48 United States within 1-5 business days.


How To Return An Item

If you decide you'd like to return an item, please fill out our Return Request form right away. You will be issued a return authorization number (or RA#) then given easy instructions on how to get your product back to us safely and efficiently. Please see below for our policies on new, used, and vintage products.

New Items: Most new, untouched, unopened items may be returned within 15 days of the date of delivery for a full refund in the form of store credit, less outbound shipping costs. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs, unless return is a result of incorrect shipment or defective item. Chicago Music Exchange reserves the right to refuse any return if item is not in new, untouched, or unopened condition.

Vintage & Used items: Most vintage & used items may be returned within 3 days from the date of delivery. Our unique and comprehensive quality certification process allows us to stand behind every vintage and used instrument we sell with the utmost confidence. If you are not satisfied, please contact us immediately as we must evaluate all vintage and used returns on a case by case basis. All vintage and used refunds may be subject to a small 5% restocking fee, as well as original outbound shipping costs. In-store vintage and used refunds are eligible for store credit refund only. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless return is a result of incorrect shipment. Some products are not returnable under any circumstances such as amplifier tubes, instrument pickups, microphones, drum heads, drum sticks, earbuds, earplugs, software, books, harmonicas as well as any other products designed to come in contact with the mouth or ears due to sanitary concerns. For orders paid using an American Express card, we may pass on an additional 3.5% fee of the purchase price to process your refund.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, we strive to issue your refund sooner than that. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
