Body: Maple top and sides with a mahogany back
Neck: Maple neck with a rounded profile, 1 5/8” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 7.25” radius, and dot inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Original open-back tuners, two single-coil pickups (Output too low to be measured), three-way pickup selector switch, one volume, one presence and two tone controls
Cosmetic Condition: The top is looking really nice for its age with a few large checking lines forming, as well as a smattering of dings, scuffs and scratches. The pickguard has a two-inch crack that has been glued. The back and sides contain a few nicely scaled checking lines, and a few dings and dents giving it great character. The neck and headstock are nice and glossy with a few dings on the neck and the top of the headstock. One tuning peg is moderately melted. This Baldwin is a beauty!
Playability: The action is set up at a moderate height as the E-string makes contact with the bridge pickup when played above the 12th fret. Output of the pickups is too low to be measured.
Modifications/Repairs: The pickguard has a repaired crack. The original tuners were once removed but have been reinstalled.
