Neck: Maple neck with a medium-orund profile, 1 9/16” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 7.25” radius, and dot inlays (serial number dates to 1965, neck stamp reads “6jan66a”
Pickups/Hardware: Fender Deluxe tuners, three single-coils (Rated at 6.3kOhms in the neck and middle, and 6.1k in the bridge), pickup on/off switches, bass cut, volume and tone controls (Electronics all original, visible ’65 pot codes)
Cosmetic Condition: The finish is in nice shape with some average dings and dents in the top but no structural damage. The back and sides have a fair amount of buckle rash that has worn through to the bare wood but overall the guitar is in nice shape for its age. The neck lacquer is fairly worn along the treble side but the neck is glossy for the most part with mostly minor dents and a few larger blemishes. The headstock has some wear near the nut and around the edges but it is looking good and free of any cracks or repairs. This Bass VI has held up nicely over the last 50 years!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
