Body: Alder

Neck: Maple neck (stamped “5AUG65C”) with a medium “C” profile, 1 11/16” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 7.25” radius, and dot inlays

Pickups/Hardware: Open-back tuners, split-single coil (rated at 11 kOhms), volume and tone controls

Cosmetic Condition: Holy Schnikes. This 1965 P-bass is so killer! NINETEEN SIXTY-FIVE!!! The olympic white finish has aged to the dreamy hue it currently holds, which brings to mind heavy creamers and porcelain. The finish has aged gorgeously, with small nicks and checking lines throughout the body. The treble edge of the body has many marks of wear and small pieces of finish removed. The back of the body has buckle rash and some small chips in the finish. There are some holes and an imprint on the guard from where the thumb rest was removed. The neck has a few small nicks and dents but remains mostly smooth and glossy. The headstock has some light edgewear but is looking great for 51. Don’t sleep on this dreamy bass!

Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.

Modifications/Repairs: thumb rest has been removed.
