Cosmetic Condition: There is some heavy checking throughout the guitar but overall it is looking good for its age. There are four repaired cracks in the top but the guitar is structurally sound. The back and sides have more heavy checking as well as minor scuffs and scratches from buckle rash but no serious damage. The checking lines continue up the neck and headstock but overall both are glossy and clean with only some minor dings around the edges and exposed drill holes from the original tuners. This J-50 is perfect for any lefty looking for a great vintage acoustic!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
