Body: Mahogany

Neck: Mahogany neck with a medium “C” profile, 1 9/16” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12” radius, and trapezoid inlays (serial number dates to 1967)

Pickups/Hardware: Kluson Deluxe tuners, two humbuckers (rated at 7.0kOhms in the neck and 7.3k in the bridge), three-way pickup selector switch, independent volume and tone controls

Cosmetic Condition: The finish has considerable wear and some spotting on the top that may be water damage but the faint checking lines and chips give it a great vibe. One screw is missing from the pickguard (right side of the neck pocket). Another screw that holds the vibrato cover down is also missing but the cover is still securely attached. The back is also well worn with some buckle rash and swirls in the lacquer as well as a good amount of dings and chips around the edges. There are two repaired cracks in the body near the control cavity but the guitar is structurally sound all around. The neck has a fair amount of wear but still plays great. There are some chips and yellowing in the binding but none of it really effects the playability of the guitar. The headstock has the usual wear around the edges but no cracks or repairs. This is an SG for the player with a real vintage sensibility. It a’int winning any beauty contests but it brings plenty of poise and character to the table.

Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board. The frets are wide and low with some playwear but they have a lot of life left in them!

Modifications/Repairs: The neck has been reset. There are two repaired cracks in the body on the side by the control cavity. Two of the tuners bushings have been replaced. The end strap button has been re-drilled next to the original screw which broke off in the guitar. one of the pickguard screws is missing because it broke off in the guitar. Hardware is original except for the front strap button and two of the tuner bushings.
