Body: Mahogany

Neck: Mahogany neck with a medium-large soft “V” profile, 1 3/4” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 20” radius, and small dot inlays (the serial number dates to 1937)

Pickups/Hardware: Open-back tuners, one DeArmond soundhole pickup (rated at 12.2kOhms)

Cosmetic Condition: The finish is all original and has held up nicely over the last 70 or so years. There are some nice light checking lines throughout the lacquer as well as a fair amount of small dings and chips around the edges. The back and sides also show a fair amount of wear as well as more checking lines but overall the guitar is structurally sound and free of any repairs. A hole was drilled on the side to accommodate the added output jack. The back has it’s share of scratches and buckle rash as well as some lacquer worn away near the neck heel and in other spots. The neck also shows average waer for a guitar this age with some lacquer missing down the middle and a fair amount of minor dings and dents. The headstock has some very fine checking and just a handful of blemishes on the back. This is a gorgeous 00-17 that is enhanced greatly by the addition of a vintage DeArmond pickup!

Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board. The frets are small and show some play wear but overall they are in nice shape for their age!

Modifications/Repairs: There is a hole drilled into the side for the output jack. The guitar has had a recent neck reset.
