OneRepublic and their booty: From left to right: Brent Kutzle with a Hagstrom Bass 1960, Nash T-69TL Thinline Shell Pink, Ryan Tedder with a Gibson ES-340 Walnut 1969, Fender Jazz Bass 1966, and Drew Brown with at Gibson L-30 Black 1935. In town for a show at UIC Pavilion, OneRepublic took time out to come to Chicago Music Exchange to enhance their sound with some vintage (and replica) killer gear. We're looking forward to hearing the band let these guitars loose on stage in the future.
Allmusic commented on the band's sound, "...OneRepublic recalls the melodies of the Fray and the vocal acrobatics of Maroon 5's Adam Levine....and often favors cathartic, cranked-up choruses that Chris Martin has yet to tackle." OneRepublic rose to prominence in 2007, when "Apologize" began its reign as the most popular digital download in American history. Check out their latest album Live from Zurich.
