Post-Lolla Depression

The festivities have come to a close!  After an intense 4-day lineup, the Lolla-tremors are finally starting to subside.  Throughout the week Chicago Music Exchange was a revolving door for touring artists, sound crew and visitors from out of town alike.  Here’s a quick look at some friends, old and new, that paid us a visit!

Dallas Green ran in to the store to pick up this awesome ES-355 a few hours before City and Colour was scheduled to play.

Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats stopped by for some quality time, and to pickup a few goodies.

Ellie Goulding's band dropped by to shoot the breeze, and sample a few choice Gretsch guitars.

Lolla-newcomers Pinegrove swung through to kill time before their set on Thursday.

Kurt Vile kidnapped some Chicago Music Exchange employees, and forced them to sit backstage for his set.

Like all good things, Lollapalooza must come to an end: leaving us dehydrated, unable to locate our cars, and wondering what happened to the eighty bucks I swear was in my back pocket!  While we nostalgically avoid washing our right hands for the next 11 months to preserve our 4-day guest passes, we'll have to rely on the memories to hold us over.

Until next year Lollapalooza; just as your security barricades occupied Lake Shore Drive like an over-taking military coup, may your blissful summer memory forever occupy our hearts and minds.  Later Fam!
