Electronics: Electronics appear original. 1960's HiLo'Tron pickups present with untouched leads. Wiring harness is comprised of era correct wire, components, and lead dress. Solder joints appear untouched. Pot codes date to 1963.

Hardware: Hardware appears original. Gretsch "G" tailpiece, era correct Space-Control bridge with patent # base, era Waverly tuners. Tuner buttons have been painted silver.

Modifications/Repairs: Tuner buttons have been painted. The finish on the headstock veneer was most likely partially polished. Truss rod cover was previously glued to the veneer and has cracked. Frets have been leveled.
Case Details: Original hardshell case and booklet.
Cosmetic Condition: Guitar is in good condition with moderate wear. There are many small dings, dents, scratches, and age related finish blemishes throughout. The hardware has a light patina. The headstock veneer has some inconsistent finish luster and hazing, it is likely this portion of the finish was partially polished with compound. The binding is overall in very good shape, and does not exhibit the usual "binding rot" associated with Gretsch guitars of this age.

Tech Notes: Guitar is currently set up with 11-52 gauge strings and has slight back-bow in the bass side compared to the treble side with the truss rod loosened. It plays well with optimal action, lighter strings are not ideal for this instrument. Frets are narrow, flat, and low, showing moderate wear. Serial number and pot codes date this piece to 1963.
