Finish Details: Original neck finish. The body has been fully refinished.

Neck Details: Bolt-on one piece maple neck with unbound maple fingerboard, dot inlays, skunk stripe, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck is pencil dated March, 1959.
Electronics: The pickups are original 1950s black bobbin Fender single coil pickups. The wiring harness has been completely replaced; controls include 3-way blade switch and master volume/tone controls. These pot codes date to 1991.

Hardware: The pickguard has been replaced. All other hardware is original.

Cosmetic Condition: The neck finish shows considerable aging, with heavy finish checking present on the fingerboard, along with patches of wear on both the fingerboard and back of the neck. The headstock has some additional checking, along with wear around the edges. The body finish is glossy with simulated weather checking.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The neck is slightly twisted, with more relief on the bass side, but notes ring out clearly. The frets are narrow and low with moderate wear. The pencil date in the neck pocket dates the body to May, 1958, and the neck pencil date dates the neck to March, 1959. The serial number dates to 1959.
