Neck Details: Two-piece maple neck with a walnut center seam, bound ebony neck, pearl dot inlays, no truss rod -- The back of the neck contains a spline beneath the area around the treble-side of the 1st & 2nd frets. This area has been touched up or over-sprayed. This repair was most likely done to remedy a worn-in thumb impression.

Case Details: Non-original hard shell case, modern dreadnought style
Cosmetic Condition: This Mandocello shows very nice aging and play wear. The finish has worn and checked significantly throughout with various other nicks, dings, and blemishes. - There is visible separation between the tops binding and the side of the upper portion of the body. The separation is structurally sound. - There is an open screw hole on the back of the headstock toward the top.
Serial Number: 13250
Tech Notes: Currently, set up with 22-74 gauge phosphor bronze mandocello strings. The action is set medium for optimal playability due to relief in the neck. The small bar frets show only light play wear for their age. -- The serial number dates this Gibson K-1 from 1912.
