Neck Details: Laminate maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard. Truss rods are adjustable at the heel under the pickguard.
Electronics: The pickups on this bass are original. Some of the pots may have been replaced with other Rickenbacker components. There are two 1976 dates, one 1967 date, and one made in Mexico pot with no visible date. Two pickups, three-way pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls for each pickup, standard and Rick-O-Sound outputs.
Pickup Measurements: Fully functioning, can't get individual readings due to wiring scheme.
Hardware: Original hardware.
Modifications/Repairs: -Some of the pots may have been replaced with other Rickenbacker components, please review the electronics field and internal photos carefully.
Case Details: The hardshell case is structurally secure with one broken latch and some cosmetic wear.
Cosmetic Condition: This 4003 has moderate play wear for its age. -The body has dents, scratches, some small finish chips, and buckle rash. -The neck has scratches, dents, and a few finish chips/blemishes.

Tech Notes: This Rickenbacker plays well with medium/low action and light neck relief. The truss rods are adjustable and the frets are in good shape. The serial number dates this bass to 1983.
