Neck Details: | Three-piece mahogany set neck with a bound ebony board, small volute, big block mother of pearl inlays, truss adjustment at the headstock -- Has been refretted by one of our in-house techs. *This was not the first refret performed on this guitar. Various chips and scars exist from the previous refret. Many have been repaired, but some are still visible, most notably along the binding of the fretboard. These "scars" are superficial and do not affect playability. -- Non-original bone nut |
Electronics: | Two "Tarback" Gibson Humbucker pickups, 3-way toggle pickup selector switch, volume & tone controls per pickup -- The pickups and wiring harness have been replaced and currently wired using a '50s wiring scheme. |
Pickup Measurements: | Neck: 5.2 kΩ, Bridge: 7.6 kΩ |
Hardware: | The output jack plate has been replaced with one made of brass -- Alternate tuning machines were installed at some point leaving a slight footprint and visible open screw holes on the back of the headstock. The current machines installed are era correct. -- The bass side tailpiece stud bolt has been replaced |

Cosmetic Condition: | This LP Custom shows a lot of nice aging and play wear. Finish discoloration, checking, nicks, dings, chips, dents, and other various blemishes exist throughout. |

Tech Notes: | Currently, setup with 10-gauge strings, low action, and optimal neck relief. The tall and wide frets show minimal wear as they are new. -- The serial number dates from 1974 or 1975. Based upon the appointments this instrument most likely dates from 1974. |
