Neck Details: One piece mahogany neck with with unbound Brazilian rosewood board.
Electronics: The pickup appears to be original but the pots and wiring have been replaced.
Pickup Measurements: 9.6k ohms
Hardware: The strap buttons, truss rod cover, pick guard, bridge and pickup cover all appear to be original. The nut, knobs and jack plate have all been replaced. At some point, Grover tuners were installed. An era correct set of Klusons has been installed with conversion bushings but these tuners may not be original to the guitar.
Modifications/Repairs: The guitar has been refretted and the nut has been replaced. -The knobs and jack plate have been replaced. -At some point, Grover tuners were installed. An era correct set of Klusons has been installed with conversion bushings but these tuners may not be original to the guitar. There are extra holes in the back of the headstock as a result (see pics). -The headstock has been broken off and repaired and over-sprayed. . -The guitar has been fully refinished and the serial number is gone. -Two extra holes were drilled on the upper horn for two extra strap buttons at some point.
Case Details: Gig bag.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has heavy play wear. The finish is glossy with dents and scratches throughout. The back of the body has heavy buckle rash. The metal hardware is nicely tarnished with age.
Tech Notes: -The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are wide and tall with minimal play wear. -The serial number is gone but the neck profile suggest 1960 or early 60s.
