The 1950s J-45 Original model vaunts vintage-inspired detailing from the golden-era of Gibson. Here at CME we love this model, but saw opportunity for improvement. We upgraded the top to Adirondack spruce. Instead of the standard Vintage Sunburst, we opted for the more stylized Tight Burst Vintage Sunburst. And lastly, we decided to be more authentic to the period and forego the electronics.
The multi-ply top and single-ply back binding are subtlety antiqued making each instrument look just like a seasoned Gibson acoustic. Appointed with cream button tuners, and a 1950s-era tortoise pick guard.
