The EG1’s Mod knob depends on the mode, giving you aggressive filtering, Nyquist error downsampling or degrading mechanical wobbling. All the bells and whistles you’ve come to expect from a premium delay are also found on the EG1: an enhanced mix control that gives you true-wet and dry blends, feedback, ~900ms of delay, integrated tap tempo, higher dynamic range, more headroom and an enhanced signal processing experience overall. The transmission has been cast into the ether, and now it is your job to receive it. The MOD knob in this mode adjusts the amount of filtering present in the repeats, while TRANSMISSION adjusts the dry-wet mix of the filtered and unfiltered repeats.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eCassette Tape Mode (2):\u003c\/strong\u003e Controls the rate of modulation and distortion depth. You may have seen this called “wow and flutter” elsewhere. The MOD knob introduces a higher rate of modulation that sits comfortably in the mix at all settings while TRANSMISSION adjusts the depth of this effect.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDigital Television Mode (3): \u003c\/strong\u003eControls the amount of Nyquist error and digital downsampling with some slight bitcrushing. The MOD control adjusts the Nyquist error ratio, while the TRANSMISSION control mixes that effect into the repeats.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTRANSMISSION\u003c\/strong\u003e: Governs the amount of depth for each mode’s MOD effect.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDELAY TIME\u003c\/strong\u003e: Governs the delay time, giving up to ~900ms of the good stuff. Anything beyond these specs (center-positive, AC, etc) will cause the EG1 to not function properly (best case) or brick (worst case). Improper powering voids your warranty and will effectively end the transmission. Please do not do this!
