Finish Details: Original finish, with touchups at the heel and on the "G" brand.

Electronics: Original single coil DeArmond pickups with adjustable magnet pole pieces; the neck pickup has been rewound. Original wiring harness with 3-way selector switch, master volume and tone controls, and neck/bridge volume controls. Some solder joints appear to have been touched up; the pot codes date to 1953.
Pickup Measurements: N/A due to resistors wired in-line with the pickups

Case Details: Original Hardshell Case
Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Gretsch shows fantastic aging, with checking and an attractive patina throughout. The embossed leather side binding is in good shape, as are the Western-themed inlays and decorations. There is a repaired crack at the neck heel from the neck being reset, which has been touched up and oversprayed.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The narrow frets are moderately low, with light play wear. The combination of serial number and construction appointments dates the guitar to 1956.
