Neck: Mahogany neck with a “c” profile, 1 5/8” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 14” radius, and parallelogram inlays
Pickups/Hardware: open-back tuners, no electronics
Cosmetic Condition: This Epiphone FT-79 is from 1951. That’s so cool. There is wear throughout the entirety of this guitar in the form of small dents and scratches and checking lines. The top of the body has some pick scratches from play. The back and sides look great, covered in checking lines that only cool old stuff gets covered in. The neck and headstock have some wear, but are looking good. The top of the headstock has a huge chip out of it and has many surface cracks. This 1951 Epiphone is one cool guitar!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Modifications/Repairs: The neck has been reset, the top cracks have been repaired. The heel cap has been replaced. The crack at the end pin has been repaired. The pins have been replaced.
Weight: 5lbs 5oz
Case: non-original case with broken clasp.
From Taylor: Beautifully crafted in Sapele/ Mahogany, this stand features a laser-etched Taylor logo, a rich satin finish, and rubber pads to protect your guitar’s finish
