Neck: Maple neck with a medium “D” profile, 1 5/8” wide nut, rosewoord fretboard, 7 1/4” radius, and block inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Grover tuners, two humbuckers (rated at 7.2 kOhms in the neck and 7.6 k in the bridge), three-way pickup selector switch, independent volume and tone controls
Cosmetic Condition: Betcha never seen a Coronado like this before. The body on this 1968 Fender Coronado II is EXTREMELY aged. The antigua finish has faded to an orange-y yellow, and the entirety of the body is covered in checking lines and wear. The “Antigua” lettering has begun to wear away. The binding has cracked in many places and there is significant edgewear. Many chips of the finish have come off. The neck feels great, though it has some playwear. The headstock has a lateral crack through the E tuner. The headstock has checking lines and edge wear but the Fender emblem still looks great. This unique Coronado has enough vintage mojo to choke a horse!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board. For optimal playability, this guitar would benefit from a refret.
Modifications/Repairs: The solder has been touched up. A new nut has been cut and installed.
