Body: Original Olympic White finish

Neck: Maple neck with a medium “C” profile, 1 1/2” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 7.25” radius, and dot inlays (neck date reads "7MAR65A”)

Pickups/Hardware: Two J-style single-coils (rated at 7.6kOhms in the neck and 7.2k in the bridge), volume and tone controls (original wiring harness with ’64 and ’65 pot dates. The neck pickup is original. The bridge pickup may not be original because it has plastic leads.)

Cosmetic Condition: The finish is beautifully checked and looks great for its age with some usual dings and chips but nothing too serious. There are two exposed holes from where the bridge cover would screw in as well as some discoloration from where it once sat. The back and sides have more heavy checking lines and some spots of finish missing but no signs of structural damage or buckle rash. The neck looks and feels great with some usual play wear along the edges but only minor dings and dents. The matching headstock has some usual wear around the edges but no signs of cracks or repairs. This ’65 Jazz Bass has aged just right and has lots of life left in it!

Playability: The truss rod is minimally adjustable so the bass plays best with light gauge strings. The bass plays nicely with medium-low action.

Modifications/Repairs: The bridge pickup may be repro since it has plastic leads instead of cloth covered. The bridge has been replaced. Bridge and pickup covers are missing.

Weight: 8lbs 15oz
