Summary

Body: Ash (dated 12-9-52)

Neck: Maple neck (dated 12-9-52) with a large “C” profile, 1 5/8” wide nut, 7.25” radius, and dot inlays

Pickups/Hardware: Original tuners, original (rewound) pickup (rated at 6.1 kOhms), volume and tone controls

Cosmetic Condition: The top is loaded with vibe; screw holes, finish discoloration, checking, scratches, and dings throughout. The sides have edge wear and some finish wear and the back is loaded with chips, dings and buckle rash. The neck is worn down nice and smooth and the headstock is holding up well with the standard wear. This P-bass is a vintage beast!

Playability: Plays well with low action. The frets are small with some play wear, but are still in good playing condition.

Modifications/Repairs: There are three extra holes drilled in the top behind the bridge, likely from some other bridge. The saddles, pickguard, pickguard screws and thumb rest have been replaced. The screws holding the bridge down are not original. The pickup has been rewound. There are shadows in the finish on the top and back from some sort of cover or pad that was installed at some point.
