Body: Maple laminate
Neck: Maple neck with a medium “C” profile, 1 1/2” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12” radius, and dot inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Original tuners, original pickups (rated at 27.9 kOhms in the neck and 6.9 k in the bridge), three-way pickup selector switch, inductor switch, independent volume and tone controls.
Cosmetic Condition: Tons of attitude all over this vintage bass! The body has an attractive checking pattern throughout the finish. The top has some additional dings and screw holes from removed hardware. The sides have plenty of edge wear and gracefully aging binding and the back has some hefty buckle rash, dings, and scratches from years of being well-loved. The neck has some checking up it and some finish wear and the headstock looks as you’d expect a ’67 to look with some nice edge wear. This EB-2D adds some high class to your low end!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Modifications/Repairs: The knobs, switch tip, pickguard, and strap buttons have been replaced and the guitar has been refretted. The wiring harness has been replaced with CTS pots and drop caps. There is a repaired hairline crack on the back of the neck that is stable and not affecting playability. The string mute is missing.
