Pickups/Hardware: Gibson open back tuners, two humbuckers, four-way pickup selector switch, independent volume and tone controls (electronics all original, visible ’78 codes)
Cosmetic Condition: This bass has seen some serious playing time. The front and sides show a strong amount of finish wear including some nice checking, color fading on the edges, many nicks and scratches, as well as an intriguingly deep finger/pick wear dip between the hum buckers and below the G string. The back shows a fair amount of checking, a decent amount of finish chipping by the electronics cover and near the center, as well a good amount of buckle rash. The nicely worn neck and headstock are also well checked with a considerable amount of finish wear on both sides of the neck. Take this Gibson out of its case and listen to the stories it has to tell!
Playability: The strings are low, play great, and ring out along most of the board.
