Body: Spruce top with mahogany
Neck: Mahogany neck with a large “C” profile, 1 5/8” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12” radius, and dot inlays
Cosmetic Condition: The top is well worn with a good amount of pick wear around the soundhole and pickguard but overall the guitar is structurally sound. The back and sides have some usual wear and tear including some signs of buckle rash but no serious damage. The neck has been reshaped to a slimmer 1 5/8” and feels great to play. There is some light lacquer wear but the neck has been refinished and feels great to play. The headstock has a chip on the top corner and some other wear around the edges but no cracks or repairs. This ’46 J45 is a “10”!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Modifications/Repairs: The width of the neck has been reshaped/slimmed down from the nut to the 14th fret. The neck profile has been reshaped to be slightly slimmer (1 5/8" nut width). The finish on the neck has been removed. The neck was refinished. The guitar has been refretted. The nut has has been replaced. The bridge has been replaced. There are repaired cracks on the back. The rear most back brace is missing. It is not affecting playability.
