Body: Maple back and sides with a solid spruce top

Neck: Mahogany neck with a large “c” profile, 1 11/16” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12” radius, and dot inlays

Pickups/Hardware: open-back tuners, no electronics

Cosmetic Condition: This sunburst L-48 has seen it all! From the birth of Rock’n’roll to the Watergate scandal, and every pop-star in between, this little hollow-body has held its tune. The sunburst finish is heavily worn but has tons of marks of character and age. The top of the body has many play marks from pick scratches. There is a crack running along the treble-side horn that has been repaired. There are some dents on the top of the body. The entire body is also covered in linear checking lines. The sides have many dents and scratches. The back has heavy checking and buckle rash. The neck has lots of checking and some small dings. The headstock has some edge wear. This late 40’s hollow body has had a long journey, but still has miles to go!

Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.

Modifications/Repairs: The tailpiece has been replaced. The tuners have been replaced.
