Neck: Mahogany neck with a small “C” profile, 1 9/16” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12” radius, and dot inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Strip tuners, original single-coil (rated at 6.8 kOhms), volume and tone controls
Cosmetic Condition: Holy Mackerel! This ’68 Gibson Melody Maker is what dreams are made of. The Pelham Blue finish has aged handsomely, gaining checking lines and light wear. Time has tinted the guitar with a very slight olive hue to the blue and it’s outstanding. There are picking marks on the bass side of the body. The sides have nicks and dents and other edgewear. The back of the body has buckle rash that has began to chip the finish. The neck has many checking lines and greener discoloration. The headstock is in remarkable shape, showing only some edgewear. This '68 Melody Maker is a treasure!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Weight: 5lbs 13oz
Case: non-original hardshell
