Originally dubbed the “Super Jumbo” and marketed as their highest-end flattop acoustic, Gibson began making the SJ200 in limited quantities in 1937, and because of the post-depression economy it stayed that way. That is, until Elvis came on the scene with his '56. We think they probably sold a few more than usual after that. This modern SJ-200 Studio is the high-performance counterpart to the "King of the flat-tops" and features a granadillo fingerboard and moustache bridge.
