Neck: Mahogany neck with a “C” profile, 1 3/4” wide nut, ebony fretboard, 9.5” radius, and block inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Original tuners, original pickups (rated at 9.8 kOhms in the neck and 9.5 k in the bridge), three-way selector switch, volume and tone controls
Cosmetic Condition: Tons of character throughout this vintage beast! The top has some checking, scratches, and some finish/play wear around the lower bass-side bout. The sides have chipping and some thorough edge wear and the back has dings, chips and buckle rash galore. The neck has some spots of finish wear but feels great and the headstock has been worn in nicely. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a Gretsch Jet Firebird!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Modifications/Repairs: The guitar has had a refret and one pot has been replaced. The bridge has been pinned. There is some slight heel separation, the solder has been touched up, and the nut has been replaced.
Weight: 8lbs 2oz
