Body: Semi-hollow maple laminate, serial number dates to 1977

Neck: Three-piece maple neck with a medium “C” profile, 1 5/8” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 9.5” radius, and block inlays

Pickups/Hardware: Guild tuners, two humbuckers (rated at 6.0kOhms in the neck and 6.8k in the bridge), three-way pickup selector switch, independent volume and tone controls (Electronics all original)

Cosmetic Condition: The finish looks great for its age with mostly minor pick marks and some light buckle rash on the back of the body. There is some black residue and wear along the binding near the end pin but otherwise the guitar is very clean. The neck is nice and glossy aside from a small patch between the 1st and 4th frets where the lacquer has worn away a bit. The headstock has some pretty light wear around the edges and face but is looking very good for the most part. This Starfire IV is aging like a fine wine!

Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board. The truss rod is minimally adjustable so the guitar plays best with light gauge strings (10s or smaller).

Modifications/Repairs: The nut has been replaced
