Body: Maple laminate, hollow body
Neck: Maple neck with a thick “D” profile,1 5/8” wide nut, bound rosewood fretboard, 7.25” radius, and block inlays
Pickups/Hardware: Grover tuners, two pickups (rated at 10.1 kOhms in the neck and 10.7 k in the bridge), three-way pickup selector switch, independent volume and tone controls
Cosmetic Condition: The top is aging gracefully, with plenty of checking lines and dings. The back and sides are fairly clean for their age, with some light buckle rash, great checking lines, and a handful of light dings and scratches. Due to shrinkage, the binding has cracked in many places and is missing a few pieces, most notably along the bass side lower bout. There is also a bit of binding separation at the top edge of the bass side waist. The neck is very clean for its age, with just a few light dings, while the headstock has moderate edge wear along the crown, and a couple of finish chips on the back. This Kay is a beaut!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Case: Gig bag
