Body: Maple, semi-hollow

Neck: Maple neck with a profile, 1 11/16” wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 12” radius, and dot inlays

Pickups/Hardware: Open-back tuners, two single-coil pickups (rated at 5.4 kOhms in the neck and 5.3 k in the bridge), three-way selector switch, independent volume and tone controls

Cosmetic Condition: The top of this Speed Demon is looking great, with just minor pick scratches, some good-looking checking lines, and a few small dings to be found. The back shows a moderate amount of buckle rash for the age of this vintage Kay, while the sides and edges are slightly more worn in, with severals, dings, dents and scratches, as well as a chip in the binding near the top-side of the treble side waist and a bit of binding separation along the treble-side horn, and a patch of rash along the treble-side of the lower bout. The neck has several small dings, and one noticeable dent, but overall feels nice. The headstock has plenty of edge wear along its stylish curves but otherwise is looking very babely. This red beauty is A-O Kay!

Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.

Modifications/Repairs: Added tremolo system. Replaced knobs./p>
