Cosmetic Condition:this 1942 Martin 00-18 plays incredibly well and is looking great for such a beautiful vintage instrument. The top of the body shows some playwear in the form of pick marks, digs and scratches, but it’s surprisingly clean for its age. There is a small crack coming from the guard, but it does not affect playability. The sides show scratches and edgewear. The back of the body has light playwear. The neck has numerous small spots of wear and light scratches. The headstock shows checking lines and edgewear throughout. You’ll be loving this Martin for decades to come!
Playability: The strings are nice and low, play great, and ring out clearly across the board.
Modifications/Repairs: Replaced tuners, nut, bridge, saddle and bridge pins. There is a spot on the top near the endpin that has been touched up. The guitar has had a neck reset, been refretted and been fitted with a bone nut and saddle. The bridge has been replaced.
