Body: Mahogany back and sides with a Spruce top

Neck: Mahogany neck with a ”c” profile, 1 11/16” wide nut, ebony fretboard, 16” radius, and dot inlays

Pickups/Hardware: Grover tuners, no electronics

Cosmetic Condition: It isn’t often that you get to play an acoustic guitar with as much mojo as this 1970 Martin D-28.The top of the body has a lot of playwear as well as checking lines and aging. The sides have a crack that has been repaired on the bass side bout. The back of the body has some faint buckle wear but looks great. The neck shows some lacquer wear but is structurally sound and the headstock is in good shape. This Martin has soul!

Playability: There is a good deal of fret wear but the guitar plays well with medium action. It would benefit from a neck reset for lower action. The relief is not able to be adjusted due to lack of truss rod.

Modifications/Repairs: A large crack has been repaired wit some added material on the side. The guard has been replaced. Refretted. “RT” has been carved inside the sound hole. The bridge has been reglued.
