MONO M80 Vertigo Electric Guitar Case

We've seen it (and done it) hundreds of times: grabbing the guitar out of the side of a partially unzipped case while standing up. We do this to save space, to save time, or to save our backs. This observation became the driving concept behind the Vertigo, the world's first top-loading guitar case. The top loading feature might have been enough, but we went ahead and redesigned the Headlock for automatic neck support. Then we created The Boot, a rubber sole designed for unsurpassed protection against vertical drops. The game has changed.

Dimensions:

  • 14.5" Wide at Lower Bout
  • 11.5" Wide at Upper Bout
  • 6.5" Wide at Headstock
  • 16" Long between Upper/ Lower Bout
  • 41.5" Long total
  • 3" Deep
  • Just over 6lbs

This case is designed to fit all standard body electric guitars including Fenders® like Teles® and Strats®, Gibsons® like Les Pauls® and SGs®, Ibanez, ESP. Also fits some not-so-standard guitars. The molded Vertigo Headlock fits standard-width guitar necks.

DROP-PROOF: Another first of its kind, The Boot™ takes guitar protection to a new level. Using manufacturing technologies from the footwear industry, the Vertigo™ bounces off of concrete like a pair of cross trainers. With its custom molded rubber outsole and EVA insole, The Boot™ also protects strap pins of all shapes and sizes from those nasty vertical drops. Despite its serious design, the Vertigo just wants to have fun.

STRAP PIN PROTECTION: The insole/outsole combination of The Boot™ design keeps the strap pin off the ground even during hard vertical drops.

IMPACT DEFLECTION: Integral ABS panels deliver hardcase protection at a fraction of the weight. (MONO cases weigh in at about 75% less than their hardcase counterparts.) The reinforced outer shell of the Vertigo™ absorbs and deflects hard imact away from the vulnerable areas of the guitar.

TICK-READY: M80 cases come equipped with the triple D-ring attachments required for the optional Guitar Tick™, the modular tool case designed to extend the storage capacity of your guitar case.

PLUG AND PLAY: Everything in its place. Specialized storage compartments put your gear right where you need it. Deep gussets make sure your small items stay put.

THE LITTLE THINGS: A small interior mesh pocket keeps those little, critical items close at hand.

WEAR IT OUT: We build our cases to military specs, using only high-test materials with extreme resistance to abrasion and the elements. Inside, the plush lining protects delicate custom finishes. Outside, the water-resistent Sharkskin™ shell keeps you on the move, rain or shine.

RIVETED HANDLES: Rock solid, industrial webbing handles come standard on MONO cases. Bar-tack stitching and steel rivets reinforce for strength, while high grade webbing provides a super comfortable grip.

DOUBLE STEEL ZIPPERS: Powder-coated steel zipper pulls with self-healing nylon zippers are standard on all compartments. Double zippers also double the lifespan of each pocket.

HARD-WEARING SOLE: The Vertigo™ features a molded rubber sole and piping made of Hypalon - the same industrial rubber used to create inflatable military rafts. This sole simply does not wear out.

We’re all musicians here at Chicago Music Exchange and we want you to love the gear you get from us. We understand that sometimes you get a piece of gear that doesn’t work out for you. That’s why we offer an easy return policy to take the stress out of purchasing from us.

If you decide you'd like to return an item, please contact your Sales Rep, fill out the Return Request form below, or give us a call.

If you placed your order on Amazon or eBay, we advise issuing the return request from your account on the platform of purchase - our Customer Service team will process a refund upon receipt of the item(s).

Most new items may be returned within 30 days of delivery and most vintage & used items may be returned within 3 days of delivery for a full refund, exchange, or store credit. Please pack the product safely for the journey back to us. If the product was shipped for free, the charge will be deducted from refund, unless the reason for the return is outside normal circumstances.

Please contact us as soon as possible if your order was received incorrectly, damaged, or defective. Most times we will give you an RA number (Return Authorization). Why is that number important? This will allow us to speed up the process of the return.

We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee based on the return condition. Some items we just can’t take back for returns, due to a one time function like strings or drums heads and other times it’s not sanitary to do so with microphones or harmonicas. If you aren’t sure if what you bought falls into a category like this, call us (773) 525-7773!

We strive to get your return processed quickly. Most of the time we have it done within two business days. Funds going back to credit cards usually takes two to four business days.
