This particular kit features tri-band red/amber/yellow acrylic shells, in sizes of 14x10, 18x16, and 26x14. Hoops are triple flange, and bass drum hoops are satin maple with chrome inlays.
Q's acrylic shells are an aesthetically pleasing material with improved tonality due to their unique bearing edges. Acrylic shells have a full tonality with a lot of attack, resonance, and accentuated mid-range. If clear acrylic is what you're looking for, seamless, cast shells are available which enhance the overall warmth and livliness of the drums.
