Summary

Body: Maple, semi-hollow

Neck: Three-piece maple/mahogany/maple neck with mahogany headstock wings, a medium/slim "C" profile, 1 5/8" wide nut, rosewood fretboard, 7.25" radius, and triangle inlays

Neck Thickness: .82" at the 1st fret, .85" at the 12th fret

Pickups/Hardware: Fender tuners, two original toaster pickups, three-way pickup selector switch, volume and tone controls (1966 pot dates)

Cosmetic Condition: The body of this vintage beast is nicely worn, with plenty of character providing checking lines, as well as a good looking patch of finish wear that runs parallel to the E-string. There are also plenty of light dings and scratches visible, as well as a good amount of buckle rash to be found on the back. The neck is nice and comfortable, with a handful of light dings to be felt, and a bit of finish wear and discoloration to be explored. The headstock has the expected edge wear of a vintage player, as well as a nice chunk missing from the treble side top corner, and some fairly strong guitar hanger wear which has resulted in a large patch of lacquer loss. This 4005 is quite the rare find!

Playability: Plays well with medium action. The frets are quite small.

Modifications/Repairs: Some solder joints have been touched up. One wire to the output jack has been spliced. The tuners have been replaced leaving behind the visible footprints of the original tuners.

Weight: 8lbs 7oz

Case: Original hardshell (two broken latches)
