Unbelievable bang for the buck!

I'd been searching for an inexpensive but reliable offset guitar, and did this ever fit the bill. The guitar arrived quickly and was set up beautifully. After switching to a set of flatwound strings, it has the perfect sound and vibe for my band, which plays surf and '60s garage rock. I usually play in the lead circuit with both pickups. The bridge pickup is wonderfully sparkly. The purple and gold theme was an added bonus, since I'm a LSU graduate.

Great Guitar and Service!

I had been eying this one after seeing on youtube, while you can pick up this model everywhere I was in love with this color option. Read concerns about out of the box setup on this model. Called CME and talked to Jeff about this concern. He noted they would look the unit over before shipping and make sure I did not have the problems I had read about. They delivered my Jazzmaster was ready to go after I unboxed it. The cadbury inspired colors really do look amazing in person. The guitar plays very well when set up (as mine came from CME), remember for a Jazzmaster this is an entry level and sealed in box from the factory it is very unlikely it will be set up perfect. With the stock string set (9s) you can have reasonable action without buzz. I have bent them like crazy and had no pop out at the saddles. I would image when I put on 10s I may need to properly wedge the neck to keep a nice low action without buzz. As for the pick-ups and electronics, everything is solid. I play at home and have never worried much about noise or feedback and the stock stuff provide plenty of tone in my environment. These reviews where guys sit at point blank range in from of an amp and complain about noise and feedback are frankly ******, shocked how many people buy that. People like to blame the intrument for their stupidity, I sort of thing of over shielding cavities and silent pick-ups as cheating. It is like auto-tune when you are recording vocals.

Good looking and playiing guitar

This is a great little guitar for the features and the price - I purchased one of these to dip my toe into the Jazzmaster world and am not disappointed. The hardware is well considered and the construction really well done. The guitar came set up rather well too. Looks great, which never hurts!
