Bartel Amplifiers | CME Exclusive
Limited 2-Tone Black & Gold
Plug Into Something Special! New CME Exclusive Limited Black & Gold Bartel Amplifiers!
Mark Bartel, founder of Tone King, builds some of the most versatile boutique tube amps on the market — hand-wired, point-to-point, and made in small batches in the USA. Now Chicago Music Exchange has a look you can't find anywhere else. We're proud to introduce CME Exclusive Bartel Amplifiers in a striking Black & Gold 2-Tone finish, available only here. Same legendary tone, same controls that reshape gain structure and feel instead of just EQ, now dressed for the stage.
Every amp in this collection carries a Black & Gold 2-tone finish designed exclusively for Chicago Music Exchange — a look built to match the stage-ready character of the amps underneath it. It's a finish rooted in the same philosophy Mark Bartel brings to the circuits themselves: nothing decorative for its own sake, just a look that feels as considered as the tone does. This isn't a limited color run available through Bartel's standard channels — it's a CME-only release, so once these are gone, they're gone.
CME Exclusive Bartel Sugarland — The Easiest Entry Point into the Bartel World!
Now dressed in a finish only CME has, 12 watts from cathode-biased 6V6 power tubes, breaking up early with sparkly Fender-style cleans, warm tweed-style mids, and low-to-medium gain crunch that can edge into Plexi territory. Touch-sensitive, dynamic, and perfectly sized for studio, home, or small gigs.
CME Exclusive Bartel Starwood — The Most Versatile Amp in the Bartel Lineup!
Now CME Exclusive, 28 watts from a pair of 6L6 tubes deliver big, bold American-style cleans with real headroom, thick tweed-style breakup as you push it, and punchy classic rock overdrive with strong note definition. Built-in reverb included — an excellent platform for pedals and one amp that covers rehearsals, studio, and most gigs.
CME Exclusive Bartel Swingland — True Vintage Amp Feel at Living-Room Volume!
A standalone design outside the Signature Series, built for feel over volume — and now dressed in an exclusive finish. 3 watts from a push-pull 6SN7 output section feel far bigger and more dimensional than a typical low-watt amp, with Midrange, Tilt EQ, and Harmonic Balance controls that shift character between classic amp families. Built-in reverb included, ideal for players who want cranked-vintage feel at living-room volume.
CME Exclusive Bartel Roseland — The Full-Stage, Vintage Luxury Combo!
Now in a look only CME carries. 45 watts of clean, authoritative power — the most headroom in the Bartel lineup — with tube-driven spring reverb and bias-modulated tremolo, both footswitchable. Large, piano-like clean tones, rich midrange drive when pushed, and lush Fender-inspired reverb and tremolo textures built for the stage.
Roseland Specs:
- 45 watts, 2x6L6 power tubes
- 1x12 Alnico Cream
- Built-in footswitchable reverb & tremolo
- Best for: Stage volume
From the low-watt, do-it-all Sugarland to the full-stage Roseland, the CME Exclusive Black & Gold Bartel lineup brings Mark Bartel's hand-wired, point-to-point craftsmanship into a finish you can only find at Chicago Music Exchange. Whether you're after a bedroom-friendly recording amp or a stage-ready workhorse, there's a Bartel in this collection built for you — and it's not going to be dressed like this anywhere else.
