The D20 is the world’s first Two notes Torpedo-Embedded amplifier. This all-tube head has an optional reactive load for organic feel & tone when playing without a cab & hosts virtual cabinets onboard for direct recording, silent playing, & live performance without a microphone.

We set out to build an amp that not only has this new modern featureset but sounds incredible on its own as a standalone amplifier. The result is something convenient & great sounding at the lowest price point Revv has ever had.

The G20 was the next logical step. D20 was received so well & immediately people were dropping it into their studios, live rigs, modeling rigs – the tube tone & Torpedo-Embedded together can give you great tone in any situation, including some we didn’t even think of ourselves! The D20 worked so great for pedal users so also putting our signature gain sound into that form factor just made sense. It sounds & feels great! It was important to me that we get our high gain Purple Channel tone right, but I also added some quality of life features like recalling different channels & voices with MIDI, as well as ensuring each Aggression Mode sounds very different so you have a lot of distinct tones available to you. The goal was to make something self contained for guitarists that don’t use a lot of pedals – I’m sure we’ll be surprised again by what people do with this amp!

The plan from the start with G-Series pedals was to recreate the tone of our amplifiers. The Revv G2 was the final piece of that puzzle… but it turned into so much more! My goal was to make our most realistic & inspiring pedal to date. That actually came pretty quickly – a great representation of our touch-sensitive crunchy green channel! However, I sent it to one of our Nashville artists. He had great feedback totally unrelated to our green channel. Rather, how to simply make the best pedal possible for this application with maximum versatility as an “amp in a box.” Then one of our employees said it would be cool if the G2 could be used as a boost as well… With these new goals in mind, the G2 quickly became an entirely new animal. Very transparent at low settings – capable of livening up your clean tone, tightening a high gain sound, or boosting your tone into a creamy lead. Then, our sweet & dynamic green channel with powerful EQ to pair to your amp. Finally, a full but still very chimey distortion tone. This was our most important design yet. The Revv G2 not only completes our vision for a modular rig solution, but has pushed us into new sonic territory we’re already seeing in new genres of music worldwide.
