The 1937 28-Style Authentic Custom Collection | MARTIN GUITAR
Two Historic Models With Four Finish Options
Martin introduces the 1937 28-Style Authentic Custom Collection, new historic reissues direct from the Martin Custom Shop.
Combining the artful eye of its vintage-inspired Authentic series with workhorse-worthy designs for the modern player, the new Custom Shop D-28 1937 and 000-28 1937 acoustic guitars feature Authentic bracing, cloth strip and hide glue construction, an adjustable truss rod for lifelong reliability, and a choice between Vintage Low Gloss Natural and Ambertone finishes, each with optional Stage 1 Aging.
New from the Martin Custom Shop, Stage 1 Aging adds all the tell-tale finish crackle and crazing of vintage models. It also improves the feel, adding rolled fingerboards, rounded frets ends, and a thinner Adirondack Spruce top for commanding volume and a broad dynamic range.

View DetailsTone Exploration | The Guitars of Bruce Springsteen
Released on September 30, 1982, Nebraska marked a radical departure for Bruce Springsteen. Recorded entirely alone on a four-track TEAC Portastudio in his Colts Neck, New Jersey bedroom, the album was never intended for release. Springsteen had planned to re-record the songs with the E Street Band, but the raw demos—haunting, intimate, and unvarnished—proved more powerful than any full-band attempt. In their imperfection, he found a truth he couldn’t recreate.
