Get the Utmost of Yamaha’s Acoustic Luthiery With Flagship Acoustic Models
Chicago Music Exchange is proud to be one of the few dealers in the U.S. to receive shipments of the new Yamaha flagship FG9 dreadnought acoustic guitars!
Developed by Senior Builder Andrew Enns at the brand’s Guitar Development facility in Calabasas, California, then handcrafted in Japan, the new Yamaha flagship FG9 M and FG9 R dreadnoughts represent the pinnacle of Yamaha’s acoustic luthiery.
Featuring an Adirondack spruce top, the Yamaha FG9 M (African mahogany) and FG9 R (Indian rosewood) both feature an Adirondack spruce top, complemented by a mahogany neck—plus your choice of either African mahogany back and sides for strong fundamental frequencies and enhanced midrange; or, Indian rosewood for warm lows and clear, sparkling highs—both models produce extraordinary projection, clarity, and responsiveness to playing dynamics, making them ideal instruments for singer-songwriters.
The new Yamaha FG9 M and FG9 R dreadnoughts were designed using cutting-edge acoustic measurement, as well as 3D structural measurement processes—a level of scientific measurement and analysis unique to Yamaha’s acoustic design processes.
These instruments also boast deluxe appointments and traditional Japanese aesthetic details, including the rope rosette, ensuring these guitars are as inspiring to behold as they are to play!
Come to CME today to hear these flagship works of craftsmanship of Yamaha’s acoustic artisans with the FG9 dreadnoughts, and shop our entire offering of Yamaha steel-string guitars in our Acoustic Room!
