All Katana V3 series amps feature new Tube Logic enhancements, including an expressive “Pushed Amp” character for edge-of-breakup tones, enriching the core platform’s sound, feel, and responsiveness. In addition, the Katana V3 Artist comes equipped with a “Bloom” switch that introduces a different amp feel, bringing the sound to life with a sharper attack and a richly dynamic low-end response.
Alongside the debut of the Katana V3 series amps, the Boss Tone Studio app has also been loaded with updated tone tools and diverse connectivity options, making the Katana V3 series’ remote amp and effects editing workflow more intuitive than ever!

All six amp characters in the Katana V3 series include a selectable variation, giving users 12 distinctive tones to support every musical style. With refinements to the five amp characters available in previous Katana models, including the iconic high-gain Brown type, the new “Pushed” character embodies the pleasing, touch-responsive gain of a clean combo driven into harmonic saturation. Plus, the integrated Power Control in Katana Gen 3 amps delivers the best of all worlds, letting guitarists dial in cranked-amp inspiration without causing any adverse effects on the sound!

Each amp’s Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb sections offer enhanced sound quality, grab-and-go parameter controls, and three variations each, granting users access to 15 unique effects.
The Boss Tone Studio unlocks additional possibilities, letting users customize onboard effects chosen from 60 different types, and then tweak deep options unavailable from the amp’s panel. And, with the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor installed, users can wirelessly edit sounds on the gig using the BTS editor app on their smartphone.
Offering new visual enhancements and graphic customization options, the new Boss Tone Studio for Katana V3 series amps makes crafting guitar tones faster and more intuitive, letting users explore amp and effect editing tools, change the effect order, and shape the overall sound with the three-way Contour control and multiple EQs, in addition to letting users dial in system-wide settings and behaviors.
