At Chicago Drum Exchange, we're always on the lookout for instruments that inspire drummers to push the boundaries of their playing. With inventory carefully tailored to meet our customers' needs, CDE only carries the gear drummers love—so, when we heard about Franklin Drum Company’s uniquely custom drum kits and snare drums, we had to find out what all the buzz was about!
Now, CDE is excited to announce the addition of Franklin Drums to our product lineup! Known for superb sound, exceptional playability, and stunning visual appeal, Franklin Drums are designed to offer today’s drummers modern amenities with vintage sonic vibes.
Fashioned from high-quality materials—including hand-selected woods, premium hardware, and top-tier drumheads—each Franklin Drum is hand-built by skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work. From the precision-cut bearing edges to the perfectly tuned lugs, every detail is carefully considered to ensure optimal sound quality.
Launched in October 2020 by three friends—Grady Kenevan, Tim King, and Will Franklin Chapman—the Franklin Drum Company was founded in hopes of building and fostering a community of drummers that support one another, centered around Franklin’s custom-made drum kits and snare drums hand-crafted in Minneapolis, MN, USA.
Similarly, we gave Chicago Drum Exchange its standalone storefront to create a go-to destination, both for touring drummers passing through and for the local drum community, alike. And, now, Franklin Drum owners in Chicago—as well as drummers who want to find out what Franklin Drums are all about—can head to CDE to join the Franklin Drum community!
