The PRS CE 24 Model Joins the SE Series For the First Time Ever, Alongside Two New SE Editions
Since 1985, PRS Guitars has provided instruments for some of the world’s most renowned musicians—from Carlos Santana to John McLaughlin, Mark Lettieri, and John Mayer, to name a few—and the SE Series editions are designed to offer guitarists of all levels approachable, affordable complements the Maryland-made PRS lines.
Now, building on the SE Series’ already versatile offering, PRS has announced its 2024 SE Series lineup includes three new model options: an elevated Custom 24, the CE’s first appearance in the SE Series—plus, the Swamp Ash Special returns to the PRS catalog!

First introduced back in 1988—the company’s third year in business—the PRS CE 24 model is now available for the first time as part of the SE series. Marrying PRS’s traditional Custom 24 maple top, mahogany back, and rosewood fretboard combination with a 25”-scale bolt-on maple neck, the PRS SE CE 24 features a pair of PRS 85/15 “S” humbuckers with the patented PRS tremolo bridge.

PRS Custom 24 Quilt
Featuring a quilted maple top veneer, plus matching quilted maple headstock veneer, the elevated PRS SE Custom 24 model provides a polished aesthetic for a stage-worthy style to match its road-worthy reliability.
A fitting workhorse for touring musicians, professional players, and at-home guitarists alike, the SE Custom 24 is equipped with 85/15 “S” dual humbuckers and a 3-way blade switch with push/pull coil split tone control, plus a 24-fret, 25”-scale length, Wide Thin maple neck, making it comfortable and addictive to play.

SE Swamp Ash Special
Another unique offering now in the growing PRS SE Series, the new SE Swamp Ash Special adds a fresh face and versatile voice to the lineup with a swamp ash body and 22-fret maple neck with maple fretboard.
Featuring a PRS-Designed AS-01 Single Coil “S” pickup in the middle position, (which employs both alnico and steel to add mass and create a powerful sound), flanked by dual 85/15 “S” pickups—all of which are paired with push-pull tone control and 3-way toggle pickup switch—the new PRS SE Swamp Ash Special offers tight low-end, bright-yet-mellow highs, plus a welcome twangy tone that goes from “hot country” to blues, and even jazz tones.
