Fender | Kurt Cobain Jag-Stang
The Long-Awaited Hybrid is Here
A tragic figure turned immortal rock icon, Kurt Cobain is remembered for many things, not least for his unique hybrid guitar, the Jag-Stang. Fender’s new Cobain Jag-Stang is faithful to Kurt’s original and built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s high watermark, Nevermind, a landmark album that changed music forever.

A perfect combination of features from the Fender Jaguar and Fender Mustang, two models to which he is forever linked, the Cobain Jag-Stang mirrors Kurt’s favorite features with an alder Jaguar body, 24” short-scale neck, 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard, and a slim “C”-shape maple neck.
The electronics, too, are spot-on. The Mustang slider’s four settings offer the same in- and out-of-phase tones, and the mixed vintage-style single-coil/humbucker pickup set is potent, punchy, and perfect for power chords.
No more Googling around and waiting for the perfect custom to come up. The real Fender Cobain Jag-Stang is finally here, and it can be yours when you preorder today from the Chicago Music Exchange!

View DetailsTone Exploration | The Guitars of Bruce Springsteen
Released on September 30, 1982, Nebraska marked a radical departure for Bruce Springsteen. Recorded entirely alone on a four-track TEAC Portastudio in his Colts Neck, New Jersey bedroom, the album was never intended for release. Springsteen had planned to re-record the songs with the E Street Band, but the raw demos—haunting, intimate, and unvarnished—proved more powerful than any full-band attempt. In their imperfection, he found a truth he couldn’t recreate.
