This "Chicago Special" Telecaster in White Blonde has been custom outfitted in CME's repair shop with a Sunken City Custom Telecaster Control Assembly. Sunken City is a local company owned by our very own in-house guitar tech and repairperson Phil Glodek, and the components are of the highest quality available, including the following:

• CTS 450g Series Solid Shaft 250k Audio Taper Potentiometers -10% Tolerance
• NOS Western Electric Solid Core Cloth Covered Wire
• NOS Mullard Tropical Fish .027uF Tone Capacitor
• Switchcraft Mono Output Jack
• High Polish Nickel Control Plate with Matching Nickel Dome Knobs

CME provides an in-house warranty on any internal electronic components directly affected by this customization that may no longer be covered by Fender Custom Shop should any unlikely problems arise for one full year from the date of purchase.

We take customization a step further with rift sawn necks for added resonance and expanded control sets for tonal versatility, and every “Chicago Special” Fender Custom Shop guitar features our own custom Chicago Special pickups, designed in conjunction with Fender Custom Shop Vice President of Product Development Mike Lewis.
